Procurement process management including personnel supervision and process improvement development. This job’s primary purpose is to ensure adequate quality and quantities of direct materials are available to meet the manufacturing plan. Significant focus of the position is cost containment/reduction. Responsibilities: Ø Manage and develop purchasing department and organizational personnel Ø Develop deep understanding of supply base. ie capacity, cost structure, financial viability. Ø Develop, implement, and manage purchasing performance metrics as appropriate. Ø Improve key metrics – OTD, Quality of supplied components, etc. Ø Reduce costs of direct and indirect materials. Ø Reduce costs associated with factory overhead items and services Ø Design and develop tools to simplify and improve the purchasing process Ø Lead root cause analysis and resolution of supply chain challenges as related to site Ø Reduce and balance inventory levels of supplied components Ø Aid in the identification, selection and on-boarding of low cost sources Ø Work with and develop suppliers to support and meet business objectives Country Italy …
