In this role you drive Dematic’s sustainability transformation by leading LCAs, embodied carbon, and Product Carbon Footprint initiatives across the product portfolio. You will partner with R&D, supply chains, and customers to reduce environmental impact while ensuring global standards compliance. As a domain expert, you’ll influence cross-functional teams and support data-driven improvements that align with Dematic’s climate and materials strategy. This position offers global collaboration and meaningful impact on product sustainability and disclosures.

Responsabilità

Develop and manage Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), LCAs, and Product Category Rules (PCRs) per global standards
Define LCA scope, impact categories, and methodologies; coordinate with external consultants
Collect, validate, and interpret environmental data from suppliers, facilities, and operations
Input and analyze results with LCA software (SimaPro, GaBi); ensure data quality and sound assumptions
Mentor product development teams to minimize environmental impact across lifecycles
Support R&D by embedding sustainability in early design and development phases
Assist in sustainability reviews and development decisions
Support the sustainability strategy by tracking trends, regulations, and standard methodologies related to climate, energy, materials, transportation, and safety
Partner across functions to deliver customer-facing sustainability initiatives and disclosures

Requisiti fondamentali

5+ years of LCA experience and development of disclosures (EPD, PEF, or PEP) or related
Advanced expertise with LCA tools (SimaPro, GaBi)
Strong data management and automated processing skills; proficiency with statistical tools (Python and/or R)
Experience leading teams or cross-functional initiatives
Excellent communication, presentation, and writing abilities
Ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization with distributed teams
Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Ecological, or Systems)
LCA , PFC / Embodied Carbon knowledge
Knowledge of global standards & methodologies
Support travel up to 15% (domestic and international)
Certification in ecological LCA preferred
