In this role, you will lead one of Siemens’ most strategic crane automation initiatives in Italy, ensuring alignment with global HQ standards. You will act as the local expert, coordinating site activities and directing cross‑functional teams to deliver on scope, safety, and performance targets. You’ll drive local decision‑making while maintaining strong customer relationships and governance in line with Siemens Project Management practices. Responsabilità
- Act as the local expert and main interface for the Crane Business in Italy
- Lead and manage complex crane and port automation projects aligned with HQ execution model
- Coordinate site operations, planning, supervision, and performance tracking of field resources and subcontractors
- Guide local decisions and ensure adaptation of HQ guidelines to Italian regulatory/operational constraints
- Ensure safe and compliant on‑site execution following Siemens EHS and project requirements
- Define project scope, interfaces, and requirements consistent with customer specs and global standards
- Monitor milestones, risks, and budget; implement corrective actions where needed
- Manage communication with customers to ensure technical alignment and timely escalation
- Lead coordination meetings with internal teams, HQ experts, subcontractors, and customers
- Ensure accurate project reporting, documentation, and governance per Siemens PM methodologies
- Coach and motivate the project team to maintain a high‑performance environment
Requisiti fondamentali
- Proven experience in managing complex industrial automation projects (cranes, port terminals, material handling, or heavy‑duty automation)
- Strong technical understanding of PLC systems, SCADA, motion control, drives, and industrial networking
- Experience coordinating major construction sites, field activities, and subcontractors
- Familiarity with EHS regulations, site safety, and risk management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑management skills
- Ability to own projects, tackle technical challenges, and align local decisions with global guidelines
- Willingness to travel extensively to project sites and other locations
- Proficiency in English and Italian (written and spoken)
- Ability to build cross‑functional and international stakeholder relationships
- Experience with crane automation or port terminal operations is advantageous
- Curiosity, resilience, and continuous learning attitude
- Eligibility to work in Italy
