In this role you will manage end-to-end hydropower service projects in Italy, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal engineers to ensure high-quality delivery. You’ll work in a technically focused environment with travel to sites, balancing schedules, costs, and risk to close out successful projects. This position supports ABB’s Motion Service in driving uptime and performance for hydropower equipment. You will contribute to a culture of meticulous execution and continuous improvement.

Responsabilità

Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to close-out
Manage customer relationships throughout the project
Prepare and maintain project schedules using MS Project (Gantt charts, progress reports)
Monitor progress, resources, costs, and overall financials
Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
Ensure documentation, reporting, and stakeholder alignment
Oversee on-site activities and travel to hydropower plants as needed
Ensure formal project acceptance and contract close-out according to requirements

Requisiti fondamentali

Understanding of hydropower systems, including alternators and turbines
Proven project management experience in industrial services, electromechanical systems, or hydropower
Experience working with customers and managing contracts
Strong command of project planning tools, especially MS Project
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Willingness to work on-site and travel to plants or commissioning sites
Good communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, planning, and prioritization
Professional working knowledge of English
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or a similar technical field
