In this Mechanical Engineer role, you will contribute to the design and coordination of HVAC and cooling systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities within multidisciplinary teams. Responsabilità
- Support design of HVAC and heat rejection systems for data centers and mission-critical environments, considering loads, redundancy, expansion, airflow, humidity, and energy efficiency
- Contribute to selection and layout of cooling solutions (CRAH/CRAC, chilled water, DX, in-row, fan wall, containment) per project requirements
- Perform cooling/heating load calculations under supervision
- Assist in design of chilled water plants, precision cooling, and mechanical ventilation with preliminary sizing
- Prepare and support development of drawings, specifications, calculation notes, and reports in English
- Develop HVAC schematics, basic system architectures, single-line diagrams, and P&IDs
- Support HVAC modeling in Revit, coordinate with other disciplines, and assist clash detection in Revit/Navisworks
- Collaborate with electrical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure integrated designs
- Stay updated on data center cooling technologies and applicable standards
Requisiti fondamentali
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- ~5 years of experience in HVAC and mechanical systems design for buildings, industrial, or critical facilities
- Exposure to data center, mission-critical, or high-reliability HVAC systems
- Familiarity with design of HVAC and ventilation systems, chilled water, thermal load calculations, and ASHRAE standards
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or mechanical calculation software; Revit experience for HVAC modeling
- Familiarity with data center design guidelines (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ANSI/BICSI)
- Experience with installation or commissioning phases of HVAC systems
- Understanding of control strategies and sequences of operation
- Awareness of energy efficiency and sustainability principles
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams
- Good written and spoken English
- Certifications in data center, energy, or sustainability are a plus
