In this role you support Hitachi Energy by leading machine safety risk assessments and safeguarding practices across regional sites. You will drive cross-functional collaboration with operations, delivering training and shaping safety standards for machinery in capital projects and upgrades. You’ll investigate incidents, support emergency response, and help define preventive maintenance plans while sharing best practices to grow local machine safety competency. This role blends technical leadership with hands-on coaching and regional partnership to improve safety outcomes.

Responsabilità

Lead risk assessment initiatives and implement mitigation strategies for machine safety
Build organizational capability by delivering machine safety training and developing local site competencies
Drive deployment plans for cross-functional adoption of internal safety standards
Support incident investigations (near misses and injuries) and develop corrective action plans
Assist with emergency response and containment actions related to machine safety
Act as regional business partner to improve machine safety processes across sites
Provide technical safety advice and risk reviews for capital projects with machinery, tools, and equipment
Contribute to defining scope of preventive maintenance for machinery and equipment
Travel regionally to support local sites

Requisiti fondamentali

Bachelor in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
Knowledge of EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and ISO 12100:2010
5+ years of regional experience in machine safety process/program management, risk assessment, and design
Ability to read and design diagrams for electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Experience in Lean Manufacturing
Proactive mindset with independent decision-making
Strong communication and influencing skills
Willingness to travel
Fluency in English
