Job description

Humangest, a staffing and recruitment agency specialized in personnel search and selection, is looking on behalf of a client operating in the Public Transport Software sector for a International Sales Manager

Department: Commercial / Business Development
Reporting to: CEO

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the company's international commercial expansion, promoting innovative software solutions for public transport to strategic clients and partners. The role directly contributes to sustainable business growth and the consolidation of the company's global positioning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies across international markets in line with company objectives
  • Identify new business opportunities and build long-lasting relationships with clients, public authorities, transport operators, and local partners
  • Evaluate the strategic relevance of participating in public tenders
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: scouting, solution presentation, negotiation, contract closing
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product Owner, Marketing, Delivery) to deliver customized solutions and excellent customer experience
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and client needs to propose corrective and improvement actions
  • Represent the company at international fairs, events, and institutional meetings
  • Define and implement medium- to long-term sales strategies (beyond single opportunities) for advanced technology products, in close collaboration with the commercial team

Requirements

  • Degree in Economics, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international sales roles, preferably in transport software or smart mobility
  • Deep understanding of B2B dynamics and public tender processes
  • Strong negotiation and intercultural communication skills
  • Fluent in English (C1/C2) and Spanish (minimum B2); other languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

Contract and Compensation

  • Direct hire by the company, with
    • Permanent contract (Italian National Collective Labour Agreement – Metalworking Industry)
      or
    • Freelance collaboration, depending on the candidate's preference
  • Gross Annual Salary (RAL) starting from 60,000, plus:
    • Travel expenses reimbursement
    • Daily international per diem

Location: Florence, Italy – Full Remote
