In this role you maintain and repair the hospital’s physical plant, covering mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC disciplines. You operate boilers and auxiliaries to support heat, steam, and power needs for the facility. You work within the Engineering team to uphold patient safety, environment of care, and organizational performance goals. You will collaborate with healthcare staff and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable facilities services under time constraints. This is an opportunity to shape the hospital’s infrastructure, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for patients and staff.

Responsabilità

Perform complex maintenance and repair of the hospital’s physical plant, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC work
Operate and maintain stationary gas and oil fired boilers and auxiliaries for hot water and steam
Support the hospital’s mission and its performance improvement plan through reliable facilities service
Uphold customer service standards and confidentiality, environment of care, and other organizational expectations
Collaborate with patients, customers, and associates to ensure effective facilities support

Requisiti fondamentali

Minimum five years of experience in construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, or HVAC
Demonstrated experience, proficiency, and/or license in one or more trade areas
Working knowledge of mechanical hand tools, power equipment, drills, saws, pneumatic tools, compressors, and airless sprays
Working knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, scaffolding, ladders, trucks, and forklifts
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Basic computer skills preferred
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
