In this role you will lead physical security across multiple Milan-area data centers, safeguarding critical infrastructure for AWS. You will partner with DC Engineering and Operations to maintain a robust security posture and ensure compliance with AWS standards. You’ll drive security operations, incident response, and risk assessments at scale, influencing how security supports a global cloud platform. This is an opportunity to shape security practices for one of the world’s largest cloud providers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to protect customer data. You will impact reliability and safety across sites while managing guard vendors and security systems.

Responsabilità

Manage on-site physical security operations across data centers
Oversee access control systems, guard force operations, and vendor contracts
Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident reporting
Generate and analyze security metrics
Implement and maintain CCTV monitoring systems and media security protocols
Ensure protection of customer data through robust security measures
Develop and execute security plans for special events
Create evacuation procedures and emergency response protocols
Establish benchmarks for security performance
Design customized policies to meet internal and external regulations
Build and maintain partnerships with internal teams (DC Engineering, DC Operations)
Coordinate with external partners (Vendors, Emergency Services)
Supervise security contractors and monitor performance
Deliver security projects within timelines and budgets
Provide status updates to stakeholders
Identify and address safety and security deficiencies
Conduct data analysis to support risk assessments

Requisiti fondamentali

Legal & Investigative Expertise
Comprehensive knowledge of investigative laws and practices
Experience conducting security investigations
Understanding of workplace safety regulations and compliance
Advanced knowledge of security technology, including: Access control systems, CCTV operations, Identification systems, Special security applications
Relevant security industry certifications
Proven vendor management experience
Demonstrated decision-making abilities in complex situations
Proficiency with data gathering and analysis tools
Ability to quickly adapt to new company systems
