Post-Doc researcher Action : SIPA Application must be delivered before 27 Oct, 2010 - 23:59:59CET   Short description of activity:   Within the open method of coordination, the use of indicators is an essential instrument allowing European countries to evaluate their performance in relation to others and monitor their progress toward fulfilling the agreed upon Lisbon objectives. The successful candidate is required to propose and be involved in projects related to the analysis of large databases (both micro and macro-data) and to the construction and auditing of composite indicators in a variety of domains, from lifelong learning and flexicurity to regional competitiveness and civic participation. In particular the job implies: � Analysis, assessment and treatment of qualitative and quantitative data � Multivariate analysis (e.g. Principal component, Factor and cluster analysis, etc), spatial analysis (e.g. Kriging), econometric analysis. � Carrying out numerical experiments on benchmark case studies and testing their robustness using sensitivity and uncertainty analysis. � Co-authoring scientific articles for international journals and conferences.   Required profile: The ideal candidate has ...
