Under the general supervision of the Director, ESS, the incumbent will lead a team tasked with planning and implementing aprogramme of work in economic statistics for agriculture, including methodology, data collection, validation, dissemination andcapacity development. In particular, the incumbent will:▪ provide guidance in the development and management of statistics on government expenditures, capital stocks and foreigndirect investment in agriculture; develop and document appropriate methodologies for data collection and compilation; developrelevant indicators for the analysis of agricultural productivity;▪ supervise the collection, validation and dissemination of data on government expenditure, capital stock and foreign directinvestment in agriculture; identify and present the policy relevance of agricultural/economic statistics and related indicators;ensure regular updates of the FAOSTAT database;▪ lead all methodological and conceptual developments in the area of food and agricultural price statistics; supervise the datacollection, validation and dissemination of relevant data and indicators, ensuring regular updates of the FAOSTAT database;▪ guide conceptual developments in the area of cost of production statistics and related indicators; develop and manage a surv ...
