Role Summary/Purpose The Senior Counsel, Commercial Operations will provide legal contract support and advice to the Oil & Gas sales and commercial operations in Europe and support the Oil & Gas business and other members of the legal and compliance department on a variety of other issues in Europe. This position will be based in Florence, Italy and will report to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial Operations at GE Oil & Gas. Substantial international and domestic travel will be involved in this position. Essential Responsibilities The Senior Counsel, Commercial Operations will: Negotiate, review and draft terms and conditions (indemnities, choice of law, dispute resolution, limitations of liability, insurance, etc) of international and domestic sales and long term service agreements with customers for the supply of equipment, services and parts, including all of the appropriate contract documentation, ancillary agreements, and guarantees; Provide legal support and input to the business' and proactively improving or developing GE Oil & Gas commercial processes, due diligence and legal productivity, simplicity and standardization; Manage the training of the business and sales teams on the legal and compliance issues associated; Provide advice and counsel on controllership w ...
