Role Summary/Purpose The Rotor and Structural Dynamic Lead Design Engineer will be responsible for the requisition, technical selection and design verification of couplings, load gears, auxiliary equipments and stationary structures with particular focus on the train rotor-dynamic behavior (torsional and lateral) as well as interaction with baseplate dynamic response. Essential Responsibilities The Rotor and Structural Dynamic Design Engineer will: Take in charge customer requirements, co-ordinate his/her work with the job team and manage load gear and coupling suppliers with particular focus on shafts line integration; Be responsible for the rotor-dynamic behavior of the train, he/she will perform torsional analysis and evaluate the machine lateral; Be able to design appropriate supporting structures to guarantee the shaft line rotordynamics; Be charged of translation of customer technical requirements into purchase specification; Be charged of technical assessment of suppliers offers; Perform/evaluate torsional, lateral and baseplate dynamic analysis of turbo-compressor, motor-compressor and turbo-generator trains; Check and submit to customer all the documentation related to the supply; Attend customer meetings, carry out visits at site and at supplier workshops; Manage either ...
