Research Group Leader Biomedical Informatics Home |  Our institute |  Job openings | The European Academy Bozen/Bolzano (EURAC) is an institute for applied research and further education in South Tyrol / Italy and is subdivided into five different research fields including also life sciences. EURAC is establishing, in collaboration with the South Tyrolean health service (Südtiroler Sanitätsbetrieb), the "Center for Biomedicine" in Bozen/Bolzano, which should expand up to 100 employees in the next five years. Building on the research results of the existing Institute of Genetic Medicine, research in "Biomedical Informatics" should be further extended and eventually launched as a autonomous research group inside the Institute of Genetic Medicine. The aim of this research is the bioinformatical implementation of genome-based data into diagnostics and therapy of complex diseases. In due course, an "Institute of Biomedical Informatics" inside the Center of Biomedicine should be developed starting from this research group.
